On the rockerless DOHC engines, any grind requires
carefully redoing the shims beneath the cam mounting assembly to
readjust the gap and lash on the lifters because there is no adjustment to
the gap or lash on these engines when the back side of the cam lobe is
ground to creat more lift. Utilizing the Hard Weld, this is not
needed and the OEM gap and lash are maintained because additional metal is
added to the lobe of the cam instead of taking away from the back side of
the lobe as in regular cam grinding.

Camshafts for other Isuzu engines, including Trucks and SUVs
As is indicated in our catalog, we offer no products for Trucks or Suvs.
However, we have purchased exclusive rights to distribute all Web Cam products
for Isuzu engines, and therefore will accomodate camshaft customers with Trucks
and Suvs.
In order do this, if a customer submits their camshaft(s) to us for evalutation
with payment for a regrind and agrees to pay for any additional development or
research costs, we will have the camshaft specced and ask Web to reccomend a grind
for the customer's application, which, upon approval of the customer, can be done
at the prices listed below, or we can return the customers camshafts and payment
less shipping and research and development fees, if any are levied by Web.
R&D fees if a camshaft regrind is not ordered are typically $250.00+ per camshaft.
